About Us
Cloud-pattern Brocade, with the highest grade in brocade, was originated from the Yuan Dynasty (1206AD- 1368AD) and flourished in Ming Dynasty (1368AD- 1644AD) and Qing Dynasty (1616AD- 1911AD). It is known as cloud-pattern brocade because its woven pattern is as beautiful as clouds. From the 13th century, Cloud-pattern Brocade was designated by emperor of every dynasty as imperial tribute to make imperial robe, queen's dress and robes for the officials.
Cloud-pattern Brocade, adopting exquisite material, sophisticated techniques and artistic design, is made by large-scale traditional jacquard loom. Such exquisite and unique weaving process, having reached the peak of ancient silk weaving process, still cannot be replaced by modern machine. Therefore, the quality is really sophisticated.
